Tangalooma Wrecks, Moreton Island. Tanglooma Wrecks is made up of 15 vessels deliberately sunk to make a breakwall for smaller craft in around 1963. The wrecks are located a short walk up the beach from Tangalooma Island Resort. They are close enough to swim out to from the beach, though there are strong currents at times. The wrecks have provided a wonderful habitat for fish life, including crayfish and resident wobbegongs. They sit only a few meters under the water and therefore make excellent snorkelling adventures.
