Spring, South-East Queensland. The new spring comes rapidly with the warm rains, and bubbles of colour appear everywhere; purple on tibouchinas, pink on the twigs of bauhinia and the hues of red and gold on grevilleas. Soon roses, lilies, gardenias and other plants start to bloom, creating a different tapestry of colours for the approaching summer.
