Snakes of North Australia. Northern Australia is home to a variety of snakes. Some, like the Taipan and King Brown are deadly while others such as small pythons are vibrant and colourful. At Fogg Dam, outside Darwin the largest biomass of animals in the world gather – water pythons searching for and feeding on native dusky rats.
