Cattle Stations Australia. Usually located on vast tracts of land in the centre, north and western areas of the continent, Australian cattle stations are measured more often in thousands of square kilometres rather than hectares or acres. Some pastoral stations are larger than countries in Europe and are home to more cattle than people. It is a tough life raising cattle for Australian and export beef markets and only resilient, tough people are suited to the work.
