GlobalEye started in 1998 as two websites: OzImages, one of the very first online stock photography libraries and The Australian Photographers Network (APN), one of the original photography portals. It says something about how new the internet was back then, that it never occurred to us that our reach might extend beyond Australia.
It definitely did though, and we soon found we had over 400 photographers based in over 60 countries and a stock catalogue that was similarly diverse. We created the GlobalEye brand to better reflect that diversity and to counter the perception that we were only Australian photographers and we only offered Australian content.
Since then our network has grown considerably as we’ve added a host of new websites and services to educate and entertain photographers, and most importantly, to help them with the business of promoting and selling their photography.
This website is basically a directory of our organisation, to help visitors locate the specific website, blog, product or service they require from our network. We also post updates here from all our sites, so anyone interested can keep track of all the goings on in one easy location. Enjoy!
